This revolutionary electronic ballpoint pen enables the digital capture of handwritten notes and drawings which can be trasferred directly to your computer for editing or further processing.
You simply attach the digital receiver to your standard note pad or writing surface and it allows you to capture up to 100 A4 pages and notes/ or sketches. These can then be downloaded to your computer via a USB cable and will appear on your screen in their original form, an exact copy of whatever you wrote or drew on your pad.

With the advanced handwriting recognition software included, handwritten notes can be converted to text at the touch of a button and input directly to Word (or other office packages). No more time-consuming retyping meeting notes.

How it works.

• When the pen makes contact with the paper to start writing, it begins transmitting ultrasound and infrared waves.
• The receiver is able to position the pen on the paper and assembles what has been written or drawn (storing up to 100 pages of notes)
• Via USB the data can be easily transferred (via handwriting recognition software)to a computer or laptop and converted into computer text or saved as a picture.
• Handwriting recognition software (MyScript Studio Notes Edition) is included in the package.

This is suitable for all ages and uses. This is easy to use and convenient to carry, the new Staedtler digital pen will appeal to all age groups and users, but particularly students and professionals, such as architects and designers, secretaries and PA’s.

Online Mode

Receiver is directly conected to a computer

• Ensure the receiver is attached to the page
• The pen is now in pen function
• Write and draw whatever you like.
• Your notes/drawings will instantly appear on your screen.
• The pen can also be switchedfrom writing to mouse mode.

Mobile Mode

The receiver will work remotely -ie not connected to PC/Laptop

• Ensure the receiver is attached to the page.
• The pen is now in pen function.
• Write and draw whatever you like.
  The receiver will captur 100 A4 pages of handwritten notes and sketches
• Connect receiver to laptop/PC via USB
• The uploaded data can be saved, edited or converted into computer text by using included software.

Unfortunately compatibility between the STAEDTLER digital pen and the different MAC systems varies so extremely that Staedtler decided not to recommend the pen for MAC systems officially. The pen works with MAC but with some systems the functions are limited and the installation volume can also differ from that of PCs. This is primarily because the pen is supplied together with two software programmes which might encounter installation problems with MACs and thus make it difficult to get a user-friendly coordination between both programmes. Furthermore we noticed for example that just the upgrade of MAX OS 10.5 to 10.6 led to different functions despite the same MAC systems software. Thus we would have to go into details for each MAC system. As this fact would exceed the size of the packaging we refrain from recommending the digital pen for MAC although we know that it is partially compatible.
