Who needs the Formula Guide?

This is the guide for you if you design logos, brand identities, print materials, packaging or press-ready artwork. It is the reference your printer uses, and it is the reference your brand guidelines should specify. Matching your screen colour to the correct PMS number, then confirming it on the physical fan deck, is the only reliable way to guarantee colour accuracy across all print runs.

When to replace your guide

Pantone recommends replacing colour guides every 12–18 months. Exposure to light, heat and humidity causes the physical chips to fade and shift — meaning your specified colours may no longer match what gets printed. The 2026 edition also adds 224 new colours not present in older guides.
