All SimAir Gloo Booths have a charcoal filter which sits in the bottom of the unit and collects any heavy particulate which gets through the top level intake filter. The active charcoal absorbs any material and clean air is pushed back through the fans. In conjunction with changing the intake filters it is important to make sure the SimAIr charcoal filter is changed regularly as wll. As a general rule of thumb it should be changed every 6 months but if you are a heavy user it is advisable to review this after 3 months. These high-grade activated charcoal impregnated polyester fibre filters have long been recognised as an exceptionally absorbent material retaining vapours and gases within its micro-porous structure.
